BoHan showcased its semiconductor high-purity pipeline welding machines at the GSIE Chongqing Semiconductor Exhibition, displaying closed pipe welding heads and portable programmable welding power sources on site, expanding its Southwest semiconductor and biopharmaceutical customer base.

Product: AS series closed-type welding all-position tube-to-tube welder mass deployment in semiconductor clean rooms.Riding the wave of domestic production of high-purity semiconductor gas pipelines, Bohan showcased a micro rail closed welding machine and a titanium-alloy dedicated precision tube welding machine, specializing in ultra-high-purity semiconductor piping and ultra-clean welding of special gas pipelines. The equipment features a lightweight body and a sealed welding chamber that completely prevents welding slag contamination, meeting the production standards of semiconductor clean rooms. Many wafer-supporting and special gas companies conducted on-site sample testing and finalized sample cooperation and bulk purchases.

With the rapid upgrading of the domestic semiconductor wafer manufacturing and component packaging industries, high-purity sealed pipelines have become core components for gas delivery and vacuum chamber construction in chip production lines. Sealed pipe automated welding machines, thanks to their high-precision welding advantages, are now widely implemented across the entire semiconductor industry production chain.

The specialty sealed pipes used in semiconductor production are mostly precision materials such as 316L high-purity stainless steel and Hastelloy, used to transport specialty high-purity process gases and corrosive special media. If pipeline welds develop micro-pores or leaks, they can directly contaminate wafers and cause entire batches of chips to be scrapped.

Traditional manual argon arc welding has unstable precision and struggles to meet the strict standards for leak-free pipelines and ultra-high cleanliness in the semiconductor industry. BoHan’s sealed pipe automation welding machine uses a closed pipe-to-pipe butt welding process combined with CNC weld seam tracking systems. The welding is completed entirely within an inert gas protection chamber, producing dense welds with no oxide layer. The weld cleanliness meets the semiconductor industry’s EP-level pipeline acceptance standards, eliminating leakage contamination risks from the source.

Semiconductor equipment manufacturers rely on this welding machine for processing internal heat exchange sealed pipelines in vacuum chambers. The automated pipe-to-pipe equipment does not require experienced certified welders. Standardized welding parameters can be stored and recalled, and welds on the same batch of materials are consistent and uniform. It is suitable both for small-batch R&D sample processing and for integration into large-scale prefabricated production lines.

Proper equipment maintenance can ensure long-term stability in semiconductor pipeline welding. After daily production, impurities inside the welding torch and residual dust in the sealed chamber should be cleaned; weekly, the pressure of inert gas supply pipelines and lubrication of servo drive rails should be checked; monthly, arc voltage tracking sensors and chamber airtightness should be calibrated to prevent gas leaks from affecting welding purity. A dry and dust-free storage environment can extend the service life of precision components of the welding machine, continuously and stably adapting to the strict production environment of the semiconductor industry.
