Developed by Wuxi Bohan, the AW400 intelligent welding power source is a premium automatic welding unit built with high-end hardware and user-friendly operation software, ranking among industry-leading products. It is widely deployed in military, nuclear power, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, boiler, heat exchanger and pressure vessel manufacturing sectors.
Equipped with a 7-inch color touchscreen and high-grade Siemens CPU for human-machine interface, this power source enables flexible adjustment of diverse welding parameters: rotation speed, wire feeding, arc length, weaving amplitude, seam tracking, water cooling circulation and shielding gas control. Up to 70 recipe slots are available for parameter storage and quick recall.

1. Pharmaceutical & Food Clean Piping Industry:
Hygienic stainless steel pipe butt welding for pharmaceutical equipment, pure water production lines, and dairy processing equipment. The inner walls of clean pipes are free of oxidation, meeting GMP hygiene standards, paired with closed-type pipe welding machines for automatic root welding of thin-walled clean pipes.
2. Nuclear Power & Military Special Equipment:
Precision automatic TIG welding for nuclear instrument tubes, heat exchanger pipelines, and military special alloy pipe fittings made of titanium/high-temperature alloys. Strict flaw detection conditions and precise stable current power supply ensure weld qualification.

1. Wiring Inspection
Connect the 380V industrial input power, welding machine head control cables, argon gas pipes, and water cooling pipes (for water-cooled models). Ensure that the cables are undamaged, the water circuits have no leaks, and gas valves are closed.
2. Head Matching
Connect and lock the corresponding pipe welding machine head (AT8/AT40/AT80, etc.) to the power interface. Verify the head specifications and the outer diameter and wall thickness of the pipe to be welded.
3. Fixture and Pipe Installation
Clamp the pipe in the chuck/closed head, align the pipe ends evenly, ensure offset edges meet process requirements, and lock the head claws.
4. Close the main power switch, power on the equipment, and the 7-inch touchscreen will enter the main operation interface.
5. Gas and Water Testing
Open the argon gas cylinder valve and set the protective gas flow; for water-cooled models, start the water circulation and confirm normal circulation with no water shortage alarms.
6. Briefly press the jog button on the interface to make the head rotate slightly, checking that travel and welding gun swing are smooth and not stuck.
7. Small-section test welding: observe arc stability. If the arc is too long or short, adjust the arc length parameter on the touchscreen; if there is excessive spatter, adjust the current.
8. Once the parameters are confirmed correct, press the touchscreen to start welding. The equipment first pre-purges argon to expel air in the pipe, then the head automatically rotates to strike the arc, completing root/pass and fill/cap layers according to the preset program.
9. After completing the full-circle weld, the equipment automatically delays closing the protective gas to prevent high-temperature weld oxidation.
10. When the head stops rotating, shut down the equipment operation program → turn off the touchscreen → cut off the main power and close the argon gas valve.
