Product Introduction

The AT8 automated tube-to-tubesheet welding machine is primarily designed for welding small-diameter tubes ranging from 6 mm to 32 mm. It must be operated in conjunction with a cross-gantry mounting frame. The system supports various tube-to-tubesheet configurations—specifically recessed, protruding, and flush—and features a torch angle adjustment range of -10° to +30°. Additionally, an integrated circulating water-cooling system ensures the machine's capability for continuous, long-duration operation.

Consequently, the first-pass acceptance rate for non-destructive testing (NDT) far exceeds that of manual welding.

Product Operate Guide

1. Power-on inspection: Connect the power, water cooling, and argon; degrease and clean the heat exchanger tube ends; assemble and secure the tube and tube sheet tightly.


2. Install the clamping machine head: Insert the AT8 machine head into the tube and lock it; adjust the welding gun tilt angle to 0–30°, and keep the tungsten electrode 0.6–0.9 mm from the weld seam.


3. Gas purging with argon: Pass external protective argon, pre-fill gas for 25–40 seconds to expel air.


4. Parameter setting: Select the AT8 model on the power supply, set current and rotation speed according to tube diameter and wall thickness, enable wire feeding as needed, and run a test rotation.


5. Automatic welding: Start with remote control; the welding gun rotates 360° around the tube to complete tube-to-tube sheet corner and flush welding.


6. Finishing and disassembly: After welding, delay to maintain gas protection while cooling, turn off gas, stop water, and cut off power; loosen clamp and remove the machine head.
