Product Introduction

The AT80 automated welding head is designed primarily for the machine-assisted welding of tube-to-plate assemblies ranging from 19 mm to 60 mm in diameter. It supports both fillet and flat welding configurations and is widely utilized in the boiler, pressure vessel, and liquid-cooling industries. The unit features an integrated wire feeder capable of accommodating a 1 kg wire spool, utilizing feed rollers compatible with both 0.8 mm and 1.0 mm wire diameters; this design ensures a sufficient supply of welding wire while maintaining a lightweight profile. Furthermore, an internal circulating water-cooling system regulates the operating temperature of both the welding head and the positioning mechanism, thereby enabling prolonged, continuous welding operations.

The primary materials welded include stainless steel, carbon steel, and titanium alloys. The welding process is free of contaminants, and the resulting weld seams are smooth and easy to clean.

Product Operate Guide

1. Startup Inspection: Connect water, electricity, and argon; clean the pipe ends; assemble the pipes and tube sheet in place and fix the tooling.


2. Head Clamping: Align the AT80 chuck with the pipe end and tighten it; adjust the welding torch angle (0–30°); set the tungsten electrode 0.7–1.0 mm from the weld seam.


3. Gas Purging: Spray argon externally for protection; pre-fill gas for 30–50 seconds to expel air.


4. Parameter Setting: Select AT80 model on the power supply; set current and rotation speed according to tube diameter and wall thickness; enable wire feeding if required, and run a test rotation without welding.


5. Automatic Welding: Start with one key; the head rotates 360° around the pipe to weld the tube-to-tube sheet corner or flush seam.


6. Completion and Cleanup: Cool under protective gas, turn off gas, water, and electricity; release the chuck and remove the head; clean the equipment.
